How SPLOST Works

for You

Take a look at these past successes of SPLOST as local leaders weigh in on the importance of renewing it this November.

For nearly thirty-five years, Chatham County citizens and visitors have contributed more than $1.5 billion through the one-cent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). Nearly $600 million of all sales tax revenue generated for SPLOST is contributed by visitors to our area, making SPLOST an extremely cost-effective way for Chatham County and its residents to support infrastructure and undertake large capital projects.
