For nearly thirty-five years, Chatham County citizens and visitors have contributed more than $1.5 billion through the one-cent Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST). Nearly $600 million of all sales tax revenue generated for SPLOST is contributed by visitors to our area, making SPLOST an extremely cost-effective way for Chatham County and its residents to support infrastructure and undertake large capital projects.
